Welcome to Hartsfield!

The Friends of Hartsfield School Association (FHSA) are a friendly group of parents, carers and school staff with a shared goal; to organise events which are fun for the school community, raising money to enhance the school experience, creating a happy, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our events are enjoyable social occasions, providing the opportunity for you to meet other families and get to know the school staff in an informal setting. We run regular events throughout the year, such as the Winter Fair, Summer Festival, Discos, Camp Outs, Rock' n’ Roll Bingo and Quiz Nights. From our well-loved Hot Dog and Ice Cream Fridays and Pre-loved Uniform Sales, to showcasing your children’s artwork on our 40th anniversary tea towels and Christmas cards, there is always something going on!

There is a weekly fundraising lottery, with lots of opportunities to win cash and great prizes. Find out more here: https://www.hartsfield.herts.sch.uk/page/?title=Hartsfield+Lottery&pid=29.

We’re grateful to those who support us each week. Please do consider buying a ticket. Funds raised by the FHSA are used on projects which benefit all the children of Hartsfield. We’ve funded areas of artificial grass, so children are able to play safely outside in all weathers. We’ve provided bouncy castle fundays, an inflatable planetarium for Science Week, a Christmas pantomime visit, commemorative coins to mark the Coronation and much needed ice lolly treats in the height of the summer! We work hard to raise funds because we think special opportunities and experiences like this really help children to love their school experience.

All parents and carers of children at Hartsfield are automatically members of the FHSA, and welcome to join our committee of volunteers which plans our events and activities. We offer a very warm welcome to new parents who would like to get involved and we are always grateful for an extra pair of hands, and fresh ideas for fundraising. If you would like to get involved, please contact us at our e-mail address above, express your interest via the School Office, or simply pop along to our next meeting and say hello!

We look forward to meeting you soon.
